Premarital Assessment & Counseling

In our continuous effort to support area pastors and help strengthen marriages, Foundations Christian Counseling Services, Inc. offers Premarital Assessment & Counseling Services. These services allow the pastor to spend time in other ministries while being reassured that the couple that will marry is receiving quality, biblical counsel. Premarital Assessment & Counseling . . .

• Choice between the following assessments: PREPARE (for premarital couples), PREPARE-MC (for premarital couples with children), PREPARE-CC (for cohabitating couples), ENRICH (for marriage enrichment or marriage counseling) or MATE (for older couples getting married, seeking enrichment or going through a life transition).

• The above assessments are all one hundred sixty-five (165) item questionnaires assessing relationship strength and growth in the following areas: Communication, Conflict Resolution, Personality, Expectations, Financial Management, Leisure Time, Sexual Relationship, Children, Parenting, Family, Friends, Roles, Spiritual Beliefs, Couple & Family Closeness and Couple & Family Flexibility.

• A "Building a Strong Marriage" workbook.

• A minimum of three (3) counseling sessions following the results of the assessment.

• Regular communication with the pastor who will be performing the ceremony may be required by the pastor if a referral has been made for these services (a release form must be signed by the couple).
