History

Foundations Christian Counseling Services, Inc. was founded by Fred Jacoby, M.A. in September of 2002. After many conversations with pastors and people in the Pocono area, a need was discovered for more professional Christian Counseling in Monroe County. All of our counseling services are supervised by a Board of Directors consisting of Pastors and professionals.

In 2004, Carpenters Community Church partnered with Foundations to begin a satellite office in Nazareth, Northampton County, PA. In 2006, Faith Alive United Methodist Church opened its' doors and provided office space to Foundations as new opportunities for counseling became available in Carbon County. In 2007, Hamlin Pentecostal Assembly of God made space available for an office to open in Wayne County and in 2008, First Baptist Church of Allentown and provided space for an additional office in Lehigh County. In 2010, Our Hamlin office closed and we reopened our northern-most office at Innovation Church for our Mt. Pocono Office.

Foundations Christian Counseling Services, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Corporation. This enables us to receive tax-exempt support from individuals and corporate sponsors.
